Mass mortality camera trap data

Two students are currently exploring camera trap data from our mass mortality experiment at the Nobel Research Institute in Ardmore, Oklahoma. Because we were interested in mass mortality events involving differing functional groups (e.g., herbivore and scavenger), this experiment used exclusions to minimize animal activity in a subset of plots. However, in the open plots we have a diversity of consumers in our camera trap data (e.g., vultures, coyotes, bobcats, etc.). Our cameras were set to record 15 second videos, which better enables us to describe some animal behaviors in our experiment. If you’d like to process some of this data—great! If you want to carve out your own project using the data—we can discuss that too!

Do you know what kind of vulture this is? How would you describe it’s behavior?
